rules of sfi

1. Respect your fellow Shawols and the staff.

- The rules are set to keep order and Team SFI is here to enforce it. SFI strives to be a friendly and active community for international fans of SHINee. This requires effort from the members and the staff, so help us to be the best that we can be.

2. No anti-type remarks, racist/derogatory terms, swearing, sexually explicit material, or hurtful language.

- Opinions, positive or negative, are okay but insults are not.
- Keep everything rated PG-13. We have young members and don't want to expose them to things they shouldn't see.

- The swear filter is on which will turn swears into ridiculous capitalized phrases.

- Trying to bypass the filter will result in a warning.
- The only exception to this rule is stories in the Fan Fictions section but in moderation.

3. No spamming or posting topics/replies with less than 10 words.

- Copying and pasting your replies in more than one topic counts as spam.
- Do not type ten words / t e n w o r d s / 10 words or anything of the sort.
- Do not quote the first post of a topic. It will be seen as spam.
- If you wish to quote images remove the [/img] tags before you post.
- If you double post in a topic, PM the Moderator of that forum to delete it.

4. Do not claim a celebrity to be yours or argue over pairings.

- We are all fans that share the same love for SHINee and other artists. No one is better than the other.
- Do not fight over which OTP is the best OTP. People have different perceptions and preferences.

5. Use English or provide translations when using another language.

- We are an international forum, but English is our main language.
- The only exception to this rule is the Global Community section.

6. Posting download links of official music are strictly prohibited.

- We strongly encourage that you support SHINee by buying their music.
- It seems inevitable that files will pirated, but we will have none of that here.

7. No advertising/linking of other forums or fansites not affiliated with SFI.

- As an affiliated partner of SFI, links in direct relation to Koreaboo are allowed.
- Sites such as SM Town, official music sites, and voting sites are allowed.
- You may link to personal networking sites such as Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, Formspring, etc.

8. Only one account per person.

- If you have more than one account and want to delete one, email contact@shineee.net with the subject “Multiple Accounts”.
- If you have forgotten your password, email contact@shineee.net with the subject “Forgot Password”.
- If you would like to make changes to your display name or username, proceed to this thread.

9. Follow the Signature Rules at all times.

- Different member groups have different requirements.
- Moderators will replace violating signatures with rule breaker banners made by our Graphic Designers.

10. When in the Shoutbox, follow the Shoutbox Rules.

▶ Failure to comply with the rules will result in warnings, increased warn %, posting suspension, or being completely banned from the forum depending on the level of the offense. Each section has its own rules. Rules are subject to change. Last updated on March 7, 2012.

- Keep everything rated PG-13. Let's be good influences to the younger generation in the community.
- The swear filter is on. Trying to bypass the filter on multiple accounts will result in temporary suspension from the sbox.

- Please avoid all personal conversations; if you need to, use PM or other media networks. Remember to always keep the shoutbox in a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

3. No spamming or abusing the caps lock.

- If you have a lot to say, hold down Shift + Enter keys to type multiple lines.
- THERE'S NO NEED TO SCREEEEEEEEEEEAM!!! If you are excited, just take a deep breath and turn off the caps lock.

Ah, I really like these new rules. They're specific towards everything so it makes it easier to understand. And I really like the thing explaining the signature; hopefully we'll get less rule breakers for that. Hahaha.

The new rules are really well organized and clear. I love how you showed examples of what is and what isn't allowed as a signature; it'll probably help a lot of people out who don't understand some of the signature rules.
I'll be doing my best to comply with these rules!
