____Taemin will be celebrating his 20th birthday this July 18th. They sure grow up fast, don't they! Let's give Taemin a warm congratulations through the first SFI project of his 20's. We will be collecting donations throughout the next 2 months to buy various gifts and to send him a book filled with messages and inspirational quotes from all of you Shawols. We couldn't give Jonghyun a cake for his birthday this year so we'll make a second attempt to send Taemin a custom designed cake. This thread will be monitored by the project staff to look out for awesome gift suggestions so start browsing and eye shopping. Our goal is to collect $800 so please donate in the name of Taemin and spread the word!

Taemin's 20th birthday project is now open! We will be collecting money donations until July 16th and collecting submissions for our message and quote book until June 20th. Along with presents and a message book, we want to send a birthday cake this year so please donate, donate, donate!

Please leave us suggestions and ideas on what gifts we could possibly give to Taemin. We are always open to suggestions, so don't be shy! One person may think of something another person wouldn't, so sharing ideas would be the best way to produce a unique and enjoyable gift list for our birthday boy. Not sure where to start? Here's a short list to keep in mind as you make your suggestions:

• The gift is cost effective.
  The present won't cost us hundreds of dollars (unless it's a designer brand).
  
• The gift is actually useful.
  The present would be very used on an occasional basis.
  
• The gift isn't heavy & is easy to ship.
  Shipping internationally is a pain as it is expensive.
  
• The gift is completely appropriate.
  No inappropriate ideas/suggestions. We won't even bother with it.
  
• The gift suits SHINee's style and current trends.
  Taemin is fashionable! Take his taste into consideration.
  
• The gift is fresh and new!
  We'd love to see something we haven't already given the boys.
  
• Provide links & pictures to the items you suggest.
  It would be convenient to look at and save us time.

• Can we donate some personal gifts for SHINee?
  We understand that many of you would like to give SHINee personal gifts and would pay for the shipping, but we just can't accept it.
  The amount of people who would want to pass gifts to SHINee would be too enormous.
  
• Why won't you guys buy items from YesStyle/Gmarket?
  We've seen many of you suggest gifts from Yesstyle/Gmarket/Korean based websites. They get most of their items from Asian regions which are easily accessible to SHINee.
  
• How do you get SFI's projects to SHINee?
  SFI is currently partners with a few Korean SHINee fansites. They deliver our projects during SM Entertainment's birthday parties, fanmeets, or special broadcasting events.
  
• If we can't donate, is there a way we can still participate in the projects?
  Definitely! Make sure to use our promotional project banners on any forums or websites you have an account on. We need to spread the word about the project and get as much help as we can.
  
• Do you guys even read all of our suggestions?
  Team SFI reads and considers each and every idea/suggestion in this thread. It all just comes down to, is this practical to spend shipping on, is it worth it to buy, is it really useful for SHINee. So keep all these tips in mind as you make your suggestions.
  
• If I would like to ask a question regarding projects privately, who should I contact?
  Send a PM to the Team SFI which will be overseen by the project staff.

What about something designed by Jeremy Scott? Key/Jonghyun and Taemin are always wearing his clothes and he has a lot of different things...prices vary. ^^

Yeah, but in Korea you have to add one year from your original age (something about the moon year? not sure.) So he's technically turning 19 this year, but since he's from Korea, he's now turning 20. Haha.

those mickey mouse sneakers are so cute! I've seen Taemin -- or SHINee in general wear a lot of high top sneakers. Maybe we can find some inexpensive ones that fits Taemin's style. Also since Taemin wears earrings now, we can get those too.
